    Primitive Impressions opened in 1997 at the Village Gate Square. We are dedicated to providing our clientelle with the highest quality products and services available. Primitive Impressions provides a unique, relaxing atmosphere, appropriate for all ages to visit. The store has been designed as an ancient Mayan temple, a culture associated with traditional piercings. The piercing suite was constructed in a large space with the privacy of locking doors.

    Though a tranquil environment, the piercing suite is equipped with excellent piercing tools and medical equipment. We have enforced stringent procedures to ensure sterility and eliminate cross contamination. We carry a vast array of jewelry. Although we do carry a lot of typical body jewelry, we also carry many original jewelry designs. Our jewelers have been designing body jewelry for over 10 years. Primitive Impressions is the only Piercing store around where you can have your own jewelry designed and created while you wait.Our experienced staff are available 7 days a week. Jason Morningstar

Jason is the owner of Primitive Impressions. He has doing body piercing and modification for over 12 years. He is known for his calm demeanor and has created award winning piercings. His jewelry designs are very unique and show great attention to detail. Jason has been commisioned for his other various talents, including mixed media sculpture, ceramics (high fire and Raku) as well as set design for local dance companies. He studied biology and anthropology at SUNY Purchase. He has been a student of metaphysics and Magick for 20 years. He is also well versed in ritual.

Rebecca Morningstar

Rebecca is a jewelry designer as well as a bench jeweler at Primitive Impressions. Rarely seen on the premises, she creates necklaces, bracelets and other original jewelry. All of her designs are one-of-a-kind, and are never recreated. Many of her pieces are hand crafted from local shells and wood. Her Jurassic Line of jewelry features raptor claws, megladon teeth, amber, ammonites and other ancient trinkets. Currently, she is creating a new line of Sea Jewelry, featuring carved shells, exqisite pearls, gemstones and sterling silver.
